NEW DELHI: At least 21 people have drowned in separate incidents during Chhath in Patna, Muzaffarpur, Saharsa, Supaul, Bhagalpur, Madhubani and Purnia districts since Sunday. Fifteen of them were minors. Three minor boys drowned in the Dardha river near Chak Rahima village on Sunday. Manish Kumar (12) drowned on Sunday in Bhagalpur.
On Monday, two youths drowned in Bihpur. Five people drowned in Saharsa district, while three drowned in Muzaffarpur and one in Madhubani. Two minor boys drowned and one went missing in Supaul district.
