NEW DELHI: Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) president Chirag Pawan on Sunday announced he would campaign for the BJP candidates in the upcoming assembly bypolls in Bihar. Chirag also said several BJP leaders had been holding negotiations with him for long and he even met Amit Shah on Saturday.
“I had a long meeting with Amit Shah last night. After the Chhath Puja and bypolls, we will have more meetings with the him and PM Narendra Modi,” he said in Patna.
Responding to a question whether his party will be a part of the NDA, Chirag said the decision was only confined to the upcoming polls.
Chirag’s announcement is not just a good sign for the saffron party, but also for Chirag who might end up building a bridge with BJP, which is in dire need of an ally in Bihar.
